WIRE LOOP & ALPINE SNOW GUARDS
‘Loop the Loop’ or ‘pigtails’ are probably the most commonly seen snow guards, while the Alpine to the right is a more modern creation.
#2 SNOW GUARDS
Snow-guards hold ice and snow on the roof, rather than allow it to accumulate in the gutter. Plantings close to the house are also protected from large falls from the roof. While not one hundred percent effective they still decrease considerably the costly damage done by winter weather.
